Lanie Santos, My Journey

During the summer, my parents and I decided to send me to San Diego. I have an aunt who lives there. I wanted to spend time with my baby cousin(: So, my parents spent two nights in San Diego, then left me on my own. They didn't tell me that the computer was broken:/ That sucked because that was pretty much nothing to do.
One day, I was so bored ! So, my aunt said that she was going to take me to Sea World the next day. YAY ! It was fun walking around, watching the whale shows, and riding the water rides(: I also went to the mall, bought some shoes ! I had fun. Plus, my baby cousin, Kayla, learned how to say my name.
I went home on July 3rd. Then we had a 4th of July party. It felt to be homeand see all my cousin again. The rest of the summer I hung out with my friends, it was a pretty cool summer(:
I think that this trip was fun, but one thing that sucked was that I couldn't go on myspace the whole time. Everyone knows that I'm a total myspace freak 0.O
My only mistake was that I used the internet on my phone. I really didn't know what I was doing. When I got home, I was grounded for like a week because my phone bill was $500 !>_<
Other then that, I think that I'm more responsible.

Reanne Tuamoheloa, My journey

The greatest journey I've ever been on was when I was in 5th grade. When we had our break, my mom, aunty and I were planning on leaving out of state and go to the island's Tonga/ New Zealand. One afternoon, my mom and I went to get my picture for my passport, I was only 9 years- young. So when the day came for my aunty, mom, and I went all the way to Tonga! We traveled al the way through...hmmm? L.A and I can't remember where else, but then we took the big plane to Samoa and took another one to Tonga!!
Today was the day when we landed on a small island, where I came from.....Tonga....... We got off the plane and when we did, my eyes were filled with excitement once I seen the airport. THe island was samll and hot, but I couldn't really see the whole island because I just woke up. We entered the airport and grabbed our suitcase and everything. I didn't know I had relatives, but the people there looked normal and the same, but the only thing that was diffrent about them is their language. They only speaked tongan and I don't know how to speak it, only english. We got picked up at the airport from this guy, but I can't remember his name. He drove us to his home, but before we even stopped by his house...we stopped by a lady's house. I didn't know them, but one thing I notice about the island is when I seen a "BUNCH"! of dogs on the island. When we enetered his home we were intorduced to his family and the house was very diffrent from America. The shower had no shower caps it only has a bucket of cold/warm water. So now lets skip to the fun part of my journey!!!????. Well I went to the UB40 concert with some of the new people I met at home.
WHen it hit the last day of my trip to Tonga, we took the airplane nack to America of Reno,NV and I went back to school to get back ont rack with everything, so I have to end my journey from here FOLKS!!! Well I will be back to post another blog for you! =D

Shagun Kumar My Journey

A plane standing infront of me, with not just one but two floors of of seats. All buzzed up in excitement, I bombarded my father with questions about my trip to India. This was the mark of my summer vacation, and what better place to go than to Delhi, India to visit my relatives and catch a glimse of a staggering large and so many different families. I did not know what to expect but I knew it would be an experience that would be hard to forget.
As we boarded the plane the Lufthansa flight I was stuck with the hard to miss smell of an airplane, which surprisingly, as a kid I thoroughly enjoyed. The first leg of the trip was to Frankfurt, Germany, and then we connected to a flight to Delhi, India. As we prepared for landing I felt like I travelled to completely other side of a world, and a I truly did figuratively and literally. As deeply as I remember, that particular smell made me pretty much comfortable with everything. The temperature had to be atleast 100 degrees-fahrenheit, and what made it worse was the humidity. I literally had sweated off a pound by the time we reached the spot where we were supposed to meet this friend of my uncle. He greeted him with flowers and a huge hug, typically Indian culture. It felt pretty nice at that moment, we were thrilled to see him. We then reached to our closest most careable relatives. My cousins were changed alot, looked completely different the last time I saw them. The next day, we all flawlessly dressed and went to a "rain dance party". The incredible part was that it was a real rain party. We all had a fabulous time that day. We still all drenched decided to go to my grandma's house. As it was supposely a surprise for her, she happened to figure out the night we landed there. I still wonder how? Anyways, it was a heart pumping moment to see my grandmom and my mom to hug each other with their eyes full of tears, rolling down their pink cheeks.
I believe that no trip to India can ever be completed without a visit to wonderful temples and monuments that remind visitors about its rich traditional and cultural diversity. Lotus temple out of all is the most beautiful temple. "Lotus" is the national flower of India, signifies the rich Indian culture. The temple magically combines traditional Indian culture with modern engineering techniques.
With all their heavy hearts, we met them again outside the airport. It was time to say goodbye to everyone. It was hard to believe then that we were all together for more than a month. Everyone of them gave us one thing or the other but in low spirits. I guess they never wanted us to leave or was it just me!!!=)

Morgan Strohschein My Journey

Me and my mom were packing for the two day trip to Washington. We were taking a plane there, and basically turning right back around and heading back. My mom said that the visit there to my cousins baby shower would go so fast that I shouldn't even blink! Well we hugged, kissed, and waved good buy! We took off on the speedy fast vacation!!!
The plane took a wile, and I was anxious that the plane ride would take up all our time that we had to hang out, and do all the fun stuff that cousins do! Eventually two long hours later we arrived, and were embraced by three hugs, my cousin Lesa, her husband(father to be Brian), and my Aunt Coleen. Right then from that moment on the rest of the two days passed in a blur. I only caught a couple glimpses of my cousin with my second cousin to be. Then shopping at the mall. Then the baby shower with crazy games like trying to suck soda from a baby bottle!!! Now that was hard!
They had been completely right though. It passed by so fast and, I guess I blinked because, I soon found myself once again strapped into a plane seat with my mind trying to put everything that had just happened in order. Trying to sort it all out. Then one hour later I was once again embraced with warm hugs and wet kisses. I was home!!!
